Introduction to Sewing Monday

Course Name - Dressmaking for Beginners and Continuing

Award - Certificate of Attendance (on request).

This 10-week introductory sewing course is designed for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their basic skills. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students will learn the essential techniques needed to sew confidently on their own.

Over the duration of the course, you will become familiar with using a sewing machine, reading simple patterns, choosing suitable fabrics, and assembling basic projects. Each week builds on the last, gradually introducing new skills while allowing plenty of time for practice, troubleshooting, and personal guidance.

By the end of the course, students will have completed a series of sewing samples, and one or two main projects. You’ll leave with the confidence to tackle beginner sewing patterns independently and the foundation to continue developing your craft.
